As an evangelist, have done located work at Burlison and Covington, Tennessee; Pensacola, Gainesville, and Eagle Lake, Florida; Maud, Texas; Okmulgee, Oklahoma; Huntsville, Alabama; Sedona, Arizona; Casa Grande, Arizona, and present location. Have preached in gospel meetings in twenty-two states, and done campaign work in Bermuda, West Indies, and Ghana, West Africa. Conducted daily radio, and weekly television programs for several years. Have appeared as speaker on numerous brotherhood lectureships. Conducted Old Paths Lectureship in Gainesville, Florida, and Third Annual Asian Bible Lectureship in the Republic of Singapore. Present Work: Presently work with the College Avenue church of Christ in DeFuniak Springs, Florida. This work involves the normal duties of a minister, plus conducting a weekly radio program, and editing and publishing four times a year a sixteen page booklet which is mailed to all addresses in the zip codes of DeFuniak Springs, Florida. Journalism: Have served on the editorial staff, and have written for several papers; Co-founded and co-edited the Defender; Founded and edited the Oracle of Truth, and the Singapore Oracle of Truth; Have edited a church bulletin for several years. Religious Education: Taught in Florida School of Preaching, Lakeland, Florida; Owassa School of Biblical Studies, Owassa, Oklahoma; Four Seas College of Bible and Missions, Republic of Singapore. Authored and/or compiled several workbooks: Studies In the Book Of Ephesians; Studies In Marriage And The Home; Studies in I Timothy; Studies in II Peter; How To Study The Bible; Religious Error: How To Recognize It And Refute It; Studies In The Life And Teachings Of Christ; Turner’s Notes On Mid-East History; Have written several tracts on various subjects. Most of the above have been translated into the Russian language. Copies in English will be presented upon request. (See attachment page with description of each of these studies.) Mission Work: Served as a missionary in the Republic of Singapore from January/1987 to April/1988. This work involved working with the church in Singapore, teaching at Four Seas College of Bible and Missions, preaching in gospel meetings in the Republic of Taiwan, Thailand, Malaysia. Also conducted workshops on leadership, how to study the Bible, marriage, the family, and the home, in both Singapore and Thailand. Preached in outlying villages in Malaysia, Taiwan, and Thailand. Moved to Pechora, Russia in 1992 and established the Lord’s church in that city. Remained there for three years. Trained a young man to assume the work upon departure. Moved to Klin, Russia in July of 1997, trained a man to take over the work. Length of stay - one year. My Wife: Happily married to Shirley for 48 years.
